BOOK BIRTHDAY!!! DIE FOR ME’s US Release

Today—May 10—DIE FOR ME is being officially released by HarperTeen.

I can’t even tell you how excited I am.

And I have already written all of the wonderful people who blogged their reviews and interviews of the book. But I wanted to say to the rest of you…thank you.

You have all contributed—with your reviews, ratings, and recommendations on-web and off—to making this a HUGE occasion. I couldn’t have ever imagined the excitement that has built up around DIE FOR ME, and it is in a very big part thanks to you.

It feels like the publication of DIE FOR ME is the happy conclusion of a huge group effort. You’re a part of it – all of you. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now…LET’S ALL EAT SOME CAKE!!!

I saw this on The Storey Siren’s blog and was so captivated by the cover alone that I went and bought it through Kindle 5 seconds later. Now I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover like that but I instantly fell in love with the cover first.

Then…. I read it… in one day! I could not put this book down, and trust me when you work 10-12 hours a day, that’s not easy to do. It was simply amazing to me. The fresh twist on the whole “immortal” thing and the strong characters. I adored it! So much so that I’m going to buy the hard cover version as well so that I can put it on my bookcase with my other prized collection of fantastic books.

It’s not just the story that I loved very much, but the style of writing. The flow is so easy to read and easy to completely escape into their world and very hard not to keep turning the pages. It doesn’t hurt that I too love art so it was fun to read about that too.

    Loved it!

Magan – THANK YOU!! And Ellie – I will see YOU in Chicago!

Jennifer – Hurray – which stop will I meet you on?

And second Jennifer – There ARE plans…I’ve already written Book 2! (UNTIL I DIE!)

Jenny – I am sorry I won’t see you in Austin.

Keri – WOW! What a compliment!!! Thanks so much.

Stephanie – I’m so glad you enjoyed it! (Thanks for letting me know!)

Carrie – what a wonderful comment. I’m SO glad you enjoyed the book and took so much of your precious time to devour it! (Yes, I’ve had 10-12 hour work days, and I know that every minute in between is sacred!)

And thank you for telling me what you loved about it. It is easy for me to lose faith when I’m in the middle of edits (like right now), and reading notes like yours is like having a life raft tossed to me.

    MERCI!!!

Oh, I barely saw that you responded. I will see you in Portland, OR! Yay!! I can’t wait.

I just finished up a whole blog post talking about the tour, and it made me think of this super cute picture. 🙂
